About the Contest
The Mt. Lebanon Partnership is thrilled to launch the inaugural Uptown Holiday Window Decorating Competition — a festive new tradition celebrating creativity, community, and holiday spirit along Washington Road.
The Uptown Holiday Window Contest invites businesses across Uptown Mt. Lebanon to transform their storefronts into festive, creative displays that spread holiday cheer and make Uptown Mt Lebanon the ultimate holiday destination!
Community members are encouraged to stroll through Uptown, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and vote online for their favorite window display. The winning businesses will be recognized and featured on the Partnership’s website, newsletter, and social media channels.
Who Can Participate
All street-facing, ground-floor Uptown Mt. Lebanon businesses are invited to participate! Whether it’s a window display, storefront decor, window paint, or an imaginative entryway, your creativity will help light up Uptown!

Decorate your storefront window in a holiday or winter theme by Friday, November 28th, and keep your display up through the season.
Participation helps showcase your business, attract shoppers, and spread holiday joy throughout Uptown.
Incentives
- The first 15 businesses to commit will receive up to $50 in reimbursement for decorations.
- All participating businesses will be included in the public voting contest on the Mt. Lebanon Partnership website.
- Promotion on the MTLP social media, website, and newsletter.
Prizes
The Uptown Holiday Window Decorating Competition celebrates the creativity and community spirit of our local businesses. Prizes will be awarded to outstanding displays that bring festive energy and joy to Washington Road throughout the season.
- People’s Choice Grand Champion – A $250 cash prize will be awarded to the window display that captures the hearts of the community and receives the most votes overall.
- Most Creative – A $100 cash prize will recognize the display that stands out for its originality, inventive design, and imaginative use of materials.
- Best Use of Theme – A $100 cash prize will honor the display that best embodies the holiday or winter season through cohesive design and festive presentation.
How It Works
- Email Cate at Cate@MtLeboPartnership.org or fill out the online form by November 20th to enter.
- Complete your window display by November 28th.
- MTLP will photograph each participating window and post them on the Mt. Lebanon Partnership website for public voting.
- Each business will receive a 6″ x 6″ vinyl sticker with a QR code linking to the online voting form.
- Share your display and voting link on social media to encourage customers and the community to vote!
- The winners will be announced on December 18th.

Requirements & Rules
DISPLAY MUST:
Include holiday and/or wintry themes
Be photographable at all hours
Be selfie-friendly
Space for the 6″ x 6″ vinyl sticker.
Designs may not contain:
Profanity, obscenity, sexual imagery, depictions of violence, religious content, or reference to any elected official, candidate for public office, or political party.

Voting opens on Small Business Saturday (November 29th) and runs through Tuesday, December 16th!
When voting opens, visit Uptown to see all the festive windows in person, then scan the QR code on one of our posters to cast your vote for your favorite display.

The winning businesses will be recognized via Mt. Lebanon Partnership social media on Thursday, December 18th.
