The municipality of Mt. Lebanon and the Mt. Lebanon Partnership want to make it easy to support our local businesses. This Curbside Pickup initiative is a pilot program we are offering for roughly 90 days to see if residents and business owners see a benefit to dedicating 10 parking spaces in the Uptown district as free, time-limited (10 minutes) curbside pickup locations.

FOR RESIDENTS / SHOPPERS / DINERS

These spaces are the perfect spot to use if you are just grabbing some takeout, some ice cream or a cup of coffee. These spots are intended to be used for quick errands and fast pickups. This frees up the remaining spots to used for longer visits like going to doctor’s appointments or grabbing a bite to eat at one of our fine dining spots.

PLEASE NOTE: These Curbside Pickup spots are limited to 10 minute visits Uptown. Thank you for your cooperation and consideration.

FOR BUSINESSES

Offering curbside pickup can be a great additional point of sale for retailers, especially during uncertain times. As COVID-19 and its accompanying stay-at-home guidelines continue to shift sales from in-person to online, curbside pickup gives local businesses a low-contact option that can increase revenue while adhering to customer and staff safety protocols. With buy-online, pickup-in store now de rigueur, it’s increasingly important for retailers to set up retail curbside pickup to stay competitive.

Adding curbside pickup won’t increase sales unless you let people know about it. From print to digital ads, social media to the online neighborhood hub, Nextdoor, there are many platforms to do so. Using a variety of these tools will garner the most attention.
